A Ralph Lauren Find

Feb 7, 201721 Comments

If you are a longtime follower of Sea of Shoes, you may know that I have a lifelong affinity for all things Ralph Lauren. I always feel completely at home wearing anything Ralph, it’s a very natural extension of my personal style. I’ve been a long time collector of his old label Rugby Ralph Lauren. It was like a younger, preppier, more playful version of classic Ralph Lauren. We used to have a Rugby Ralph Lauren store here in Dallas and it was heaven on earth to me. My closet overflows with it because I can’t bear to get rid of any of my Rugby. When the stores and label shuttered I was pretty heartbroken. I was very happy when Ralph Lauren launched the new Polo Ralph Lauren, which is a lot like Rugby used to be.

This dress is Polo Ralph Lauren, and I actually found it on Instagram when Prototype Vintage in Austin posted it. I called the store right away and got my hands on it. I’m wearing it here with some very old Giuseppe Zanotti lucite wedge boots, a vintage belt, and a vintage squash blossom necklace.
