I've taken a little break from blogging this week-I arrived in New York on Thursday. I came to be shot for an exciting Vogue Nippon story-was such an honor to be included and the shoot was exhilarating. I stayed a couple days longer to hang out with blog friends and other people from the internet.
Funnily enough, my good friend Tina (of the BagSnob) was on my flight to NY. I'm a nervous wreck on airplanes and we had a horrible landing-the landing strip in La Guardia is too short for my tastes.
It's been pretty non-stop since I arrived. The Chanel Soho reopening cocktail party and the dinner that followed were kind of magical. I am sad I didn't bring my camera for this trip. I spent all night stalking Daphne Guiness. A really cool moment for me was having a conversation with Brad Goreski, Rachel Zoe's assistant, and asking him if worked in the industry. Didn't even recognize him. PALM TO FACE. Let me just say he is even more handsome in person!! And so sweet. What a night that was, had so much fun with Tina.

Tina Craig & me-hey, Patrick Demarchelier stop trying to sneak into our pictures ;)
Wow, Texan bloggers united! Me & Tina & Kelly of The Glamourai. Kelly is a New Yorker now but she's originally from Austin.
The Vogue Nippon shoot was super fun-I was glad that some very sweet friends were on set when I arrived (I'm talking to you, Bryan and Denni) Bryanboy left the set flicking his new weave over his face. Look at it!
Wearing some post-Vogue makeup.
My shoes as shot by Refinery29…they sure are comfy for fashion week.
After a crazy weekend it was so nice to wind down with a relaxing dinner at Soho House with some very, very funny and cool ladies: Elizabeth (White Lightning), Zana (Garbage Dress), Tavi (The Style Rookie), Laia (Geometric Sleep), and Deanne (Dream Sequins). I know many of us have had these Twitter/Blogmances brewing for a very long time so it was pretty great to finally hang out in actual real life.
Please allow me to steal some of Zana's photos from last night. Excuse my repeat outfit, I packed really weird for this trip.
And here is shoe shot..
Zana's mid-calf triple lace Ann D's (holy cow!), Elizabeth's 90's Nine West boots with a very Margiela-esque heel, my Alaia calfhair leopard hiking booties, Laia's Alex Wang brogues, and Tavi's Miu Miu/Rodarte combination.
Thank you for an amazing night, ladies….I hope I see you again really soon.
I also got to see the Roberts–of Igor and Andre. Danny and David are real gems-total gentleman and super cute. I hope you guys come to Texas again soon!
Well, I hope everyone is having a great fashion week and it was really nice to meet so many readers and new friends. And so exciting to meet some of my favorite bloggers! I'll be back in New York next month to speak at Teen Vogue University with my mom and to do an exciting collaboration with one of our favorite vintage stores What Goes Around Comes Around. Regular blogging will resume this week-thanks for reading!
