I’ve noticed 80s inspired fair isle knit sweaters have been trending and I could not be more thrilled as an enthusiastic lover of kitschy sweaters. The broad shoulders and nubby texture of these sweaters have a surprisingly high fashion look at the moment. I’ve mixed my teal vintage 80s sweater with a concho belt and dark rinse denim here. I think western accessories play into the 80s knitwear trend perfectly, its something we’ve seen a lot of on the runway. I’m definitely going to be seeking out more of these fun chunky sweaters to wear as we ease into the sweater weather half of the year. The color and texture make for very fun styling, like this this fabulously 80s purple yoked sweater from pushButton.
I got these raw selvedge jeans from Naked & Famous a while ago (when it was far too hot to wear dark denim). I have been living in these lately, they are really flattering and the selvedge makes the cuffs look great. Just a tip if you’ve been looking for some dark denim! I would suggest going up two sizes when ordering. The run quite small.
