T-Shirt Benefit Sale for El Paso

Fashion
Aug 16, 2019Leave a Comment

I just wanted to say a quick thank you to those who shopped the benefit sale I held for El Paso on @janealdridgeart last weekend. When I heard about the shooting in El Paso, I was so deeply disturbed because it hits close to home. The shooter was a Dallas resident with a white supremacist agenda, who went down to El Paso with the intention to target Mexicans. I am sick to live in a world where Mexicans feel unsafe in a place they call home, where they contribute so much. I am physically ill worried about the safety of my Mexican friends. This was a really hard week and working on these hand-painted t-shirts helped keep me focused. We raised $1040 from the sale, 100% of the proceeds went to for three victims of the El Paso shooting, who were raising money for their baseball team at the Walmart when it happened. I am so grateful to those who helped by shopping the sale! Thank you so much. We will have one for RAICES in the near future.
