Word has gotten out that there is a collaboration in the works between Acne Jeans and Alber Elbaz…this comes as a huge shock to me. Elbaz- the man who has made Lanvin synonymous with unbridled femenine glory thanks to his slinky gowns- working with denim, the fabric of the classic American worker! A million images started flashing through my mind: think the glamour of Charlie’s Angels, who paired flattering high waisted jeans with satin, sexy blouses. I am eager to see what Elbaz envisions for Acne-the Lanvin look doesn’t always translate well to day-to-day life but denim is unfailingly wearable…the collaboration will be launched in 2009 so it will be while till we find out. ;)
