WHOLE FOODS BEAUTY FINDS

BeautyHairSkincare
Feb 28, 2012

Things have been so busy since I moved, I haven’t had time to make the usual run to Sephora and for a while I was living out of sample packets. Now that I have the luxury of being close to a Whole Foods, I decided to try a couple of their beauty products and have made some amazing discoveries that I had to share.

I get a lot of questions from fellow faux-redheads about how to make their color last…I tried mixing Manic Panic in with my conditioner but that was a flop. Some of the color-depositing shampoos can make your color much darker too. I think I have finally found the perfect combo of shampoo and conditioner to make the red last without changing the color. The Shikai Color Reflect Warm Shampoo I found at Whole Foods does wonders for the auburn tones in my hair. I have used Aveda Madder Root Color Conditioner for a long time because it makes my hair so soft and deposits beautiful color.

I cannot believe how great some of these skin care products are!! I feel like I have a new face since I’ve been using them.

I’m particularly in love with Andalou Naturals Probiotic + C Renewal Cream. For me the point of any skincare regimen is to keep your skin drenched with moisture all day long and this cream will keep your skin saturated and dewy all day long, without the grease. I think for the price it is an INCREDIBLE product! The Andalou Naturals Facial Scrub Lemon Sugar is the perfect consistency for exfoliation. I am loving their mandarin vanilla body lotion too! I don’t think you can go wrong with this line, and it won’t break the bank. Can’t wait to try the day cream I just got.

I love using skincare with Vitamin C (I exfoliate with Emergen-C packets when I travel) and the Avalon Organics Balancing Vitamin C Facial Toner does some pretty amazing things. I’m not going to pretend I know what photo-aging defense is, but I’ll take it.

I’m liking the pineapple enzyme facial cleanser and sugar body polish from Alba–again, great products for a totally reasonable price. Looks like I won’t be making the trip to Sephora any time soon after all!

Kim says her skin is a little dry and she needs some day cream ;) What a helpful product tester she is!
