My mom and my little sister and I stole away for lunch at Bistro 31 the other day for a pre-Valentines gift exchange. Growing up in a household of girls, we pretty much know each other’s tastes perfectly and we love to shop for gifts for each other any chance we get. Valentines is no exception! When Pandora offered us a few Valentines trinkets to exchange with each other, I was so excited! I knew Carol and my mom would love the simple and classic jewelry I picked out for them. Over a long leisurely lunch on a blustery cold day, we exchanged gifts and sampled desserts. Carol looks so pretty in her new Pandora earrings!
Carol chose this beautiful feather necklace for me, I love the long pendant style!
I also got my sister this pair of heart stud earrings, I knew they would look adorable on her. The “love” pendant bracelet is so delicate, so pretty with a demure sweater!
My sister is so cute, she is laughing in every photo I have ever taken of her.
My mom loved her Essence bracelet we got her last year so much that we chose some new beads (love and dedication beads) for the one she had already. We had so much fun opening our gifts at our Valentine’s lunch, thank you so much to Pandora for the jewelry!
When Lovegold asked me to showcase the best of Dallas’s jewelry, I instantly knew I wanted to pay a visit to my friends at Elements boutique. Elements has an incredible selection of jewelry and clothing. My best friend and Elements’ buyer/shopgirl Stevie has flawless eye for design and amazing personal style, which is always reflected in what Elements has in store. My sister Carol also does visual merchandising at Elements. Obviously, I love an excuse to shop and visit my best friends!

I really fell in love with this cross pendant studded with diamonds. This piece is by Lana jewelry, and it is next on my dream purchase list!
Above wearing ear cuff and rings by Jacquie Aiche!
Elements is always getting so many cute things in! Every time I go in I find something new to add to my wishlist. My sister and I are dying over this leopard jacket they have.
Necessary bestie picture.
Carol wearing Jacquie Aiche earrings, so in love with these. My sister has a giraffe’s neck, lucky girl!

Kind of obsessed with this “Taken” necklace by Lana. It is very Carrie Bradshaw, so I had to put on this very Carrie dress by MSGM to ham it up!
Thank you so much to Elements for letting me show off their beautiful store and jewelry! If you are in Dallas you must check it out. Find out more on their website here!
I couldn’t pass up this colorful vintage crocheted vest, thinking of Miu Miu’s resort collection. At just 19 dollars it was a tiny fraction of the price of the Miu Miu. Pretty fun for a cheap thrill!
Also wearing: a Brooks Brothers Black Fleece handbag, a Stylenanda faux fur coat, Hysteric Glamour jeans, and Polo Ralph Lauren platform hiking boots.
I love the Miu Miu vests over the wild printed dresses and blouses, so inspiring!
I also have to share this picture of Yves Saint Laurent holding a chihuahua in his crochet vest. It’s just too adorable.

This cute striped 70s sweater was a lucky thrift store find this weekend! I love the après-ski feel of it. Wearing vintage sweater with boyfriend jeans, Loeffler Randall “Rider” handbag, Madewell belt, and Miu Miu booties from spring 2006.
Good morning, everyone! Hope you all are staying warm. It is 25 degrees here and I am chilled to the bone! I mentioned previously that I was going to update you on how my hair color was holding up with the new Paul Mitchell Ultimate Color Repair collection. I think that you can tell from these photos that the color is really holding on! It has stayed especially vibrant through the ends, which is where I always experience the most color loss, resulting in an accidental “ombre” look that I am not a fan of. Red is such a high-maintenance color and I am really impressed with how mine has lasted. No more messy, late-night dye jobs in the kitchen sink for me.
Below wearing a vintage blonde striped fur and an Oscar de la Renta jacket, with Ralph Lauren waist belt, Madewell jeans, Dolce & Gabbana bag, and Sergio Rossi pumps.
Full disclosure: my hair is three days unwashed in these photos. It is not out of laziness, I just prefer when my hair looks “lived in” as opposed to the mousy look my fine hair has when it is freshly washed! The Paul Mitchell Ultimate Color Repair Shampoo is sulfate-free, and has a great lather that is gentle and protects my color. It is the perfect shampoo for those who like to skip a day or two on washing! After showering, I spray my wet hair with Paul Mitchell Ultimate Color Repair Triple Rescue to protect against excessive heat, a major cause of color fade. To achieve this “undone” look and maintain my hair color, I avoid washing my hair daily and use a hydrating mousse to keep the ends of my hair moisturized and enhance my natural texture. Lastly, I hit random sections of my hair with a 1-inch curling wand for added texture before I leave the house, making sure I used the thermal protectant spray for heat and color protection before the wand touches my hair!
This post is a sponsored conversation with Paul Mitchell, and as always opinions and text are my own thoughts!
Like a lot of you, I wanted to start off 2015 with a renewed commitment to my health and well-being. There is nothing more gratifying to me than feeling my body getting stronger and challenging my limits! I say that as a former couch potato and big time wimp. Two years ago I was totally gym-phobic. Since then I’ve come to love to working out and I’m addicted to the endorphin rush from my morning workout. My absolute favorite workout to do right now is Ballet Beautiful. I started about a year ago and it is a killer way to get in shape! It annihilates your legs, abs, arms, and butt with many reps of small controlled movements. I now start most mornings my putting on my leotard and ballet slippers for a Ballet Beautiful session. It makes you feel elegant even when you are sweating your tail off. I’m doing some strength training, barre and HIIT too right now. I need some variety to keep myself motivated. Cute workout clothes are always motivate me too!
