GHOST

GHOST

The other day I was lucky enough to be shot by my friend Bret Sano and he took these amazing shots of a piece of vintage Ghost (a label I am fanatical about!) The black duster I’m wearing is one of the most exquisite things I own and I got such an amazing deal on it-it was found in a very special vintage store in the middle of nowhere. LUCKY FIND!!
I borrowed my mom’s thigh-high Givenchy cowboy boots for this shot. Man, I wish I had a pair of my own.

HI FROM NY

HI FROM NY

Sorry for the drop-off in posting! And email responses.
Ny
I've been in NY since Thursday night and things have been super busy since I got here, but today and tomorrow I got to do a little shopping with my family. The weather is really great. It's so much fun. I just saw Terry Richardson like three minutes ago riding his bike outside of where I'm staying! Crazy.
I'll have lots of fun things to share soon and I hope you all have a great memorial day weekend.

PINK RUFFLES

PINK RUFFLES
Wearing a gorgeous tank with ruffle detail in the back from Quail-thank you so much Michelle!
Worn with a Prada skirt, vintage crinoline, hot pink bra from Urban Outfitters, and Prada heels.
I get many questions about my lipstick color! I believe the one I use is Sephora Maniac Long Wearing Lipstick in Watermelon Rose cream…could be wrong though. Sometimes I use an Urban Decay one that is super red.

BLING

BLING

All necklaces worn are vintage, and all are very recent acquisitions. Expect to see some on the vintage site soon…definitely not going to part with that cross though! What a piece.
Worn with Martin Margiela biege sandal-boots, BCBG skirt, and Ann Sofie Back sweater.

Thank you so so much to the amazing people who contribute to the Vintage Magazine scans forum at the Fashion Spot.
Magazines today pale in comparison to how they used to be…models too. Something about these images is so powerful and assertive. You rarely ever see this kind of energy in spreads now.
I much prefer the glamorous and femenine models of then to today's 16 year old rail thin models who cringe in front of the camera, staring ahead blankly and bow-legged. Not all models or shots are like this, of course…definitely not! But it's certainly an image that's present in magazines today. The images presented here are much more empowering, and interesting!
Oh, and this post wouldn't be complete without some cheesy Italo disco and pop.

Okay, time warp over!
