QUICK OUTFIT POST//y-3 skirt, mango jacket, silver chanel booties

Fashion
Jan 17, 200950 Comments

I got this jacket at Mango a year ago.
This like the assymetrical length of this Y-3 skirt very much.
The silk scarf is from J. Crew, the bangles are random junk, and the bag is Prada.
Listening to this, (thanks Evan)

A CRAZY VINTAGE BOLERO//so gaudy, i love it

Hanging out with my new girlfriends, the Mannequins!!
This Scott McClintock bolero is so gaudy and over-the-top in real life….it casts little disco ball reflections everywhere I go. It was an ebay purchase and I got it a long time ago but never wore it!
I'm kind of in love with it right now….I wore this to the orthodontist though and my dentist looked a little amazed. Oh well.
Worn with various costume jewelry, F21 lace shirt, Rolling Hills skirt from Anthropolgie, a vintage belt with interlocking mice, and Prada spat heels.

BALENCIAGA PRE-FALL 09//refined barbarism??

From Womens Wear Daily
Note the decidedly un-Ghesquiere sillouhette of the biker boots and corseted mid-calf dress in #1…
and the shoes in look #6…!!
As for the fur arm length mittens…
I'm sorry, I can't help myself…but you know you were thinking it too.

SOME OF MY FAVORITE BLOGS//as of late
"DESIGN" AND ART AND MUSIC BLOGS
whatever "design" means……hahahahahahaha…
An Ambitious Project Collapsing
-I would like to know exactly what this 'project' that is collapsing is….something to do with awesome vintage photos I guess.
Anonymous Works-
-you never know what you're gonna find here but it's always cool. I always end up saving a ton of pictures when I go here.
Shorpy-the tagline for Shorpy is "Always interesting." It is. A plethora of cool vintage photography.
Stork Bites Man-The guy who writes this must be the coolest dad ever. Stork Bites Man features the coolest retro and current stuff for kids-toys, furniture, artwork, etc. His other blog, Reference Library , always has fascinating stuff too.
La Maladie Tropicale-a blog written by 'The Sibyl' AKA 'The Quartz of George' AKA George Quartz of local band Faux Fox. Lots of good music to check out here, and good films too. The Quartz of George is a wise man.
City of Sound-Lots of information about design and some other stuff you never thought you'd need to know about. Good read.
Today And Tomorrow-an extra-prolific design blog with nice big pictures.
"FASHION/STYLE" BLOGS
Six Six Sick -cool party girls just doin their thing.
Agnes B at Rodeo-I wish I could speak Swedish. Really badly. If only to read this blog. I never know what she's talking about but the pictoral content of this blog (Ann D SS09, Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra, Afro-Japanese kimonos) has me visiting often.
Dear Nike– a lovely assortment of fashion inspiration: great scans, movie stills, Helmut Newton pics, pics of Bridgett B and J Birkin…go stuff your inspiration folder with the goodies this blog has to offer.
Where the Lights End-I don't know who the writer of this is-he is very mysterious but I enjoy his stream of concious commentary on editorial fashion. Thanks for always having good scans, 'Mr Style'!! I admire your passion.
Keep Feeling Fascination-another great fashion-inspiration site stockpiled with photos of pretty things. Thanks very much for your 'Best of Vogue Italia' post!
Luxirare-I like this girl very very much. She's funny. She blogs about Vampyros Lesbos. She has great jewelry. She calls it like it is. I like this blog a lot!!!
Dooo000ooooM-because culture is not 'eazy'. Not really a fashon blog but 100% cool and random anyways.
That's all for now but the "blogosphere" (crappiest word ever) is endless and I'll share more of my favorites soon.

THE FIRST SATURDAY OF 09//my favorite jeans

Fashion

'
I'm borrowing my mom's Omega Seamaster watch today-I've also got on studded bracelets from F21 and my beloved Antonio Palladino octopus ring.
I wear this ring a lot but it never seems to make its way into pictures because I always take it off to eat, to write, to type-I have to admit it is a little encumbering.
The jacket is from Topshop-purchased two years ago. Marni chrome heel wedges. The vintage patched Levi's I'm wearing are my favorite pair of jeans I own.
I'm just wearing this to get lunch at the mall with my best friends Viky and Stefanie.
I have a lot of email to get back to-I'm sorry for the delayed replies, I'll try to get to most of them tonight!

OH AND ALSO//the first pair of loubs

(I am not usually a Louboutin girl. I admire his shoes from afar but they have never really been my thing. The color of these shoes is to die for and in python? Irresistable. So saucy with the red sole too.  They were on sale at Barneys and they were an amazing birthday present! :) One shoe isn't lacing up right-hopefully I can get it fixed!)

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT I REALLY LIKE THIS PONCHO//that is all
