kind of gothic today?

Fashion

Wearing jeans from VOD, Balenciaga booties, shearling and suede Richard Chai jacket, a Junya Watanabe shirt I'm borrowing from mom, and major bedhead…
These jeans are so boss! I cannot remember the name of the designer-it is a friend of Jackie's from VOD who does these insanely cool rock & roll leather jackets and skirts and jeans like these.
I have gotten a crazy amount of email from new readers (and old readers) this week-I'm sorry if I don't get back to all of them. But thank you so much to everyone who has written such sweet emails + Facebook messages-you guys are unbelievably kind!

unparalled coolness

This outfit exudes such a timeless, trendless, unattainable coolness that I feel compelled to post it.
The kind of outfit that makes me want to get to know the personality of the girl wearing it.
*note to self…..add Y-3 sweatpants to mental shopping list…

horrible, bad, lazy picture day

This is me being really lazy-these photos were taken last Friday (went to see Slumdog Millionaire and it was AMAZING) and didn't really turn out. So I employed my amazing Photoshop skills to make them a little more intersting….not.
Sometime I will have to take a proper picture of this coat. I got it when I was in New York. Somehow it has yet to make it's way into an outfit post.
I can't remember the name of the store where I got this amazing shaggy faux fur coat but the label says New York Laundry.
Worn with Levi's jeans, Chloe boots, Prada bag, and that old scarf…

Thank you, Teen Vogue!

(sorry my scans turned out kind of contrast-y)
I'm very honored for Sea of Shoes to be featured in Teen Vogue's March Issue for their fashion bloggers feature-especially since I'm along side an ALL-STAR CAST!
Camille, Bryanboy, Rumi, Julia, Arabelle, Karla, and Tavi are in there too!
What an amazing honor.
Thank you very much Teen Vogue-I am so, so glad you like Sea of Shoes.

Saturday morning

Today I am wearing a halter jumpsuit by Society for Rational Dress, a vintage ruffle bolero (no label!), sequin tube top from MNGO, Givenchy basket weave wedges, an armload of bangles, necklace from Urban Outfitters,
I have not busted out this jumpsuit for quite some time-I should wear it more often as it is very comfortable. Society for Rational Dress is a cool line. Check out their fall lookbook!
I am not going to a disco….as my outfit might indicate…today I think I'm going over to my friends house to bake cookies, make dream catchers and watch movies….
Ta-ta and have a nice Saturday!

I’m crushin’…
I can barely catch my breath to make this post you guys!
That is how beautiful these boots are!
Oh my I think I'm in L-O-V-E

These are so totally genius on so many levels.
Such a clean tall shape with that  slight arch and gently rounded toe…and just the right amount of skin showing-but  the foot is never totally exposed!! The seam running up the front of the shoe gives it such a nice lean lineality-and that zip up the back -it's just perfection!!
Honestly I haven't felt this way about a pair of shoes in such a long time…I am dreamin' of the day they make it to my doorstep.
xxx my heart belongs to you, Margiela.

TODAY’S OUTFIT-AND WEARING MOMS DIY PROJECT

This post is going to be extremely brief because I am babysitting a Neopolitan/Bullmastiff puppy and it is honestly like babysitting a baby tyranosaurus rex. The amount of destruction he can create in the span of one minute is truly terrifying.

But anyway-I was going to wear this outfit to get lunch in Dallas today and ended up changing into something warmer.

Miu miu skirt, The Row leather leggings (borrowed from mom-thanks!), Givenchy basket weave wedges, thrifted sweater, scarf from Urban Outfitters
I would have worn this if the weather had allowed.
I am cross posting this from my mom's blog-she made
 this cool shirt yesterday.

Back to my babysitting duties!
