FAVORITE 50s SKIRT

I bought this beautiful skirt online and it arrived with a note from the seller saying that it’s original owner had a climate-controlled vault built in her home to store her clothes. This skirt is around 60 years old and is in brand new condition! I love finding items with stories like that. Now if only I could have a vault to store my clothes in…!It’s unusual find a skirt like this in silk. You can’t see very well but it has rhinestones and studs throughout the print. I have so many petticoats to wear under my 50s skirts, but I think a big square-dancing crinoline lends the most drama!

Wearing a suede tank top by Veda (sold out, similar in a tan color here!) with a vintage skirt (very similar design available here)
Shoes are Saint Laurent from a year or two ago.
