THOSE 70s SANDALS
It is finally Friday! So ready for a relaxing weekend spent putting together our new home. We just moved in! I will be wearing these Prada sandals day and night. They are a recent acquisition and have quickly become my go-to shoes! This heel height is perfect. I love how cute they look with a sloppy sweater and boyfriend jeans.
Wearing Prada buckle slingback sandals with a cable knit turtleneck and vintage boyfriend jeans.
Here wearing the sandals with an 80s trench dress while taking my plants out for a drink!
FURRY CAPES
This amazing 70s faux fur cape is such a find! I love the detail of the rope belt. It was the perfect thing to wear with cropped denim and my favorite werido beatle boots from several years ago. These shoes kill me!
Wearing vintage faux fur cape (similar here) with cropped jeans and Dries Van Noten boots.

It’s the most dangerous time of the year. Why am I cursed with this terrible love of shoes? So many shoes I’ve swooned over have been majorly marked down. Hopefully an extra slice of pumpkin pie will quell my desire to indulge!
I hope all my state-side readers are having a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy the turkey!
END OF NOVEMBER
Click on the items to shop! Some wintry outfit ideas as we move into December. I’ve been doing some serious procrastination browsing the upcoming Black Friday sales. So many of my favorite shoes of the season are marked down…danger ahead!
1950s GEM
I picked up this 1950s Suzy Perette dress I found at the flea market I went to last week. I have read a few places that Suzy Perette was on of the few companies licensed to reproduce some of Dior’s “New Look” patterns, but I can’t find any verification of this rumor! The dresses they produced in the 1950s were exquisite. One of my very favorite Texas-born designers Victor Costa went on to work under the Suzy Perette label in the late sixties/early seventies. I get very excited when I find a Victor Costa for Suzy Perette label when I’m out hunting vintage! Finding this dress made the vintage dweeb inside me very very happy.
Wearing with Rupert Sanderson heels, leather opera gloves, and a Devi Kroell black gem box clutch. Lipstick is Illamasqua Glamour lipstick in Virgin!
BEST SHOES EVER
These Rupert Sanderson shoes are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen! I love the embellishment and rounded western opening. Mine are from Hampden Clothing!
Wearing a vintage skirt (similar shape here) with a poplin asymmetric top, oversized D-frame sunglasses, and leather bag from Lotuff.
FLEA MARKET FINDS
Wearing a faux fur vest with grey jeans, Balenciaga heels, fringe bag by Polo Ralph Lauren, and vintage turquoise necklace.
In spite of our dreary weather, this Monday got off to an very good start! Tabitha Simmons was in town for a presentation at Stanley Korshak. I’m a major fan of her shoes and did not want to miss the chance to meet her in person. We had such a great time, my mom came with me and we tried on so many of Tabitha’s amazing shoes.
Carol is wearing studded Frye boots with a Veda leather jacket, my mom is wearing Chimala jeans with a StyleNanda vest, and I’m wearing lace-up leather pants with a Three Dots coat.
We had a great time this weekend at the flea market in Dallas Market Center. I may have mentioned that I am moving in the next two weeks…I was on the hunt for some new pieces for our new mid-century modern space! I found fantastic stuff when I went on Saturday with my boyfriend. I went back the next day with my family and we picked up some turquoise jewelry pieces. It was the best way to spend a weekend. I have to show you my mom’s superb outfit with her new turquoise!
My mom is wearing a vintage sweater from Garment Modern with a vintage tee, southwestern turquoise jewelry, Chimala jeans, and Rachel Comey shoes. So awesome!! Loved this outfit!!
