A look from earlier this week! I have had this skirt for a long time but I never wear it…but on this particular rainy day, it was the perfect thing to brighten my mood. I love that I’m finally able to wear socks and heels again! Wearing with a Clare V. purse, Zara shirt, Rachel Comey heels, and vintage silk scarf.

It was cold yesterday, I could hardly believe it when I walked out the door. I had to grab a coat….and I’ve been dying to wear this one for months. My mom gave it to me, it’s from Style Nanda.  Last year I got really nostalgic for Miss Sixty. I was so obsessed with everything Miss Sixty in the early 00’s. I remember my favorite jeans were these flaming-Cheetoh-orange Miss Sixty carpenter pants! It was totally the look of that era. I got on eBay and ordered a few pieces of cheap Miss Sixty, but I have not posted any yet until now. This skirt is early 00’s Miss Sixty! It’s kind of hilarious. I had fun wearing this.

I’ve had my eye on a few things from Avenue32’s new arrivals, so when they asked me for my top picks I already had a list in my mind’s eye. I am teetering on the verge of ordering this Mira Mikati faux fur. It’s too fun, I think I could wear it all winter long and never tire of it. Also incredibly tempting, this Rachel Comey pinafore dress. I could use a wardrobe hero like that in my life.
Special thank you to Avenue 32 for partnering with me on this post!

BEST VINTAGE KENZO

BEST VINTAGE KENZO

I’m Kenzo obsessed. Not the label reboot of Kenzo by Opening Ceremony…the original! I have all my favorite 70s and 80s Kenzo ads saved, they were all shot by my favorite photographer Hans Feurer. Old Kenzo can be pricey but when I came across this skirt it was too good of a deal to pass up. I had to have it.

I’m wearing my beloved Ann Demeulemeester sandals, which are pretty scuffed up as you can see by the photos. I’m glad they still make these shoes after all these years, one day mine may bite the dust!

Wearing a vintage Kenzo skirt with an 80s Gianni Versace shirt, Ann Demeulemeester sandals, and a handpainted 70s leather belt with vintage earrings.

Fall is creeping in, slowly but surely. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I can wear jeans without dying and get out all of my favorite boots! I’ve been planning fall outfits in my head all year and this is one I’ve been excited to wear for a while. I’m always in love with Stuart Weitzman’s range of over-the-knee boots and this season’s 70s inspired iteration may be my favorite pair yet. They look so good with a pair of high waisted skinnies for an ultra-long silhouette. I wore mine with a boyfriend blazer and a newsboy cap while in San Miguel earlier this month for a tomboy take on OTK. Definitely going to get my wear out of these boots all winter.

Just when I was trying to cut back on my vintage buying, I came across this incredible quilted jacket and immediately caved. Note to self: block eBay and Etsy from my browser for at least a week. It really was too unique to pass up. The pastel ribbon detail is killer!

I kept it pretty casual with vintage 70s cropped flare jeans, a Miu Miu suede tie-dye bag, and Miu Miu rhinestone slippers (notice how much I love these lately??).

It’s starting to get just a little bit cooler here. A smidge. Some days more so than others…sigh. I was staring longingly at a box of sweaters packed in my garage this morning. We’re a far ways from sweater weather yet here in Texas…but a girl can dream. If I was taking an early morning Sunday stroll in a cooler place right now, these would be the pieces I’d reach for!

For so long I have contemplated an A.P.C. handbag…I’ve selected two for the above looks. They seem to look right with everything. This saddle bag may be the one that makes me take the plunge.

Pajama Party

My mom had given me this amazing 80s silk blazer recently, which was very sweet of her! It’s the kind of piece that is right up my alley. I’m sure I will wear it piled with 80s gold costume jewelry soon, but on this morning I decided to keep it simple with 40s silk pajama pants and rhinestone slides. It’s pretty muggy even in the early hours of the day, a silk pajama ensemble was the perfect thing to wear. I added an old bandana and some prized cloissone bangles I found at a thrift store a few years back.

This Chanel bag was found by Grandma at a Salvation Army about 12 years ago. I am fairly sure it is the real deal. Sadly it is standing on it’s last legs, but I’ll carry it till it bites the dust I guess.
