I had fun getting dressed on Sunday morning. This purple tweed jacket is so good, I love the rainbow flecks through the print. I’m a big fan of this look lately, but if you follow Sea of Shoes regularly you may have noticed that, haha. It feels like all I’ve been posting is tweedy vintage jackets the past few weeks! It’s a look I’m very fond of, especially layered up with gold jewelry. I like a 90s Chanel look right now.

Gold lockets have always fascinated me. They are romantic trinkets that only you know the true meaning of. A simple piece of jewelry that can tell of passionate romance, of enduring love, or of a time-treasured family heirloom. It is such a simple gift to give, but the sentiment behind it stands the test of time. I fell in love with the minimalist design of this locket by Catbird. When I saw it I knew it was something my sister would love. I love the idea of sharing matching gold lockets with her, and I’m so glad to have found the perfect gift for us to share. A NEW PLACE

As you may have guessed from the title of this post, I am in the process of packing up and moving out right now! I am hugely excited for a new home, a new chapter, and a new space to decorate. I’ve been gathering some inspiration for a new look. I have some really directional pieces in storage that I’m dying to get out. Below I’ve included some of my favorite inspirations to pull from as of late!

Socks and sandals can sound like an off-putting combination but for winter, but I have always loved them with super textured sweaters and layers of cozy flannel. Teva asked me to experiment with this look using their classic sandals and I had tons of fun! Happy Saturday everyone! I’ve been wanting to do this post all week but haven’t gotten the chance to, so here it is. I’m pretty obsessive about jeans and very particular about what I like in them. Lately I’ve been wanting the perfect high-rise skinny but I could never find what I was looking for fit-wise and color-wise. I was really loving the high-waisted skinny jeans I’ve seen on Nicole Richie and Miranda Kerr lately, so when I looked up what they were wearing I was pleased to find out that they were both wearing Citizens of Humanity’s Rocket high-waisted jeans.

I took a chance and ordered my first pair of Rocket jeans in Indie (pictured above) and loved them. I’m very leery of ordering denim online but the multiple five-star reviews it was given on Shopbop convinced me it was worth a try. I ended up loving them, the fit is very flattering, and the wash is perfect. I took my regular size in them with no problems. I was obsessed, I’ve been wearing these every day!

I even ordered a second pair because I love the fit so much. This dark distressed version of the Rocket goes with everything. I love how the high-rise of these jeans makes all of your outfits look much more put-together. There is just something a little more polished about high rise denim! Sorry for chopped-off awkward photo above. It has been in the twenties all week here in Dallas and I can barely stand to be outside for more than two minutes without my hands turning blue. (I know, we are wimps about the cold in the South). It was very cold taking that picture, haha. Hope you are staying warm this weekend, wherever you are!

I’ve been so excited to wear this adorable vintage jacket I found. I knew when I laid eyes on this I knew that I wanted to pile on tons of gold jewelry on it and pretty much never take it off. I put on a Paloma Picasso chain belt, a Monet necklace, Candy Shop Vintage Charleston Rice beads, Givenchy earrings, and a couple of random old bangles with my jacket for a workday look!
