Today I was so excited because at long last (the wait was killin' me…okay Browns ships really fast but still…) my MARTIN MARGIELA CUT OUT BOOTS arrived!
These. are. so. special. Aren't they even prettier on?
Obviously I had to wear them right away…even if it was just to eat mexican food with mom.
My outfit nothing too special but…American Apparel tee, Joie satin pants, Richard Chai shearling and suede aviator jacket.
^I covet these jeans my mom is wearing…they are some of my all time favorites. Oh and also her Miu Mius.
Well it's Friday night and I think I'm just going to stay in and watch movies…with my Margiela boots…we're so tight now.
I have bought way too many shoes :( I am bad at managing my money….but more on the other shoes later.

    I know that it is none of my business, but how are you able to keep buying such expensive shoes? I have gone into some major debt over my shoe addiction! (and I’m probably your mom’s age! haha) Well anyway, your choices are teriffic!

    Holy crap they look unbelievable. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical at first..I thought maybe the cut out was a bit big and that it would show too much ‘foot’…but the contrast of the cut out and tall shaft actually work perfectly! they look a thousand times better on…and of course a million time better on YOU. I think they are my favourite shoe of yours. sighhh

    I have read your blog for several months now–thanks to references from my sis-in-law. I love your style, can’t replicate myself, but love it just the same…
    As for these boots, they are my absolute favorites EVER! I want them, love them, dream about them; and now, seeing them on your feet makes them want them even more…

    This blog does horrible things to the female psyche… it’s a sin that it’s made to seem typical and normal for a 16 year old girl to be able to afford(or SHOULD afford)these insanely narcissistic and exorbitant pieces of clothing… Trust fund babies make up the smallest fraction of our society… blog should be called “how to make mommy and daddy’s fortune disappear”.

    Ephemerall, get over it. Some people’s parents make more money than yours do. It’s a fact of life. Coming onto Jane’s blog doesn’t make me whine and moan about not being able to afford things; I’m not that insecure.

Who pays for your $1100 boots? you couldn’t be a day older than 17. do you realize that 99.99% of all other 17 year olds are working at minimum wage jobs to barely afford a pair of shoes from payless? It makes me sick, especially when so many people can’t even afford to pay their bills, and you would toss so much money away like its air.

    Had to reply to this mean-spirited nonsense from Emily:

    Spending money on goods is not tossing it away. It goes to the companies who employ and pay all these people who ‘can’t even afford to pay their bills’. Take a look at the news: thousands of companies, including many fashion retailers are going BUST because of poor sales, meaning their employees don’t get paid, and lose their jobs. People with money SHOULD be spending it; be thankful for those that are because it’s the only way out of the recession.
    As for Jane, she’s 16, her finances are a matter for her and her parents. When I was 16 I didn’t do minimum wage jobs because my parents and I decided it would be better for me to do unpaid work experience, for my CV, so I could ultimately work in the sector that would be best for me. If Jane wants to go into fashion she’s probably setting the right foundations. If her parents are generous, what business is it of yours -wouldn’t you want to treat your children, if you could afford to?
    All of these ignorant rants about the state of the global economy by people who don’t have a clue are just nasty words from jealous people. Ignore it.

    EH–thank you for the rational and civil comments. may I also add–I think it’s the height of rudeness to go on someone’s blog and make hostile, hateful, contemptuous comments. in some ways, readers are guests. I realize theoretically a blogger opens herself up to positive and negative criticism. but c’mon–as a reader, if I don’t like it, I move on. let’s show some simple good manners. constructive criticism–fine. hostile, dripping-with-anger hatefulness–the problem there is with the commentator, not the blogger. that’s just my opinion of course.

    Has it occured to you naysayers that you come here to see these amazing shoes and clothes? If she didn’t have access to them you wouldn’t even be here?
    I think Jane is a brilliant fashion magazine editor (maybe one day Vogue will be hers!).
    Jane you have a great eye and style, and it won’t be long before this investment in time that you make means you won’t have to pay for every pair of boots. Don’t let these people wreck your week, you don’t deserve that.

    I had my doubts about these, but now I’ve seen them on, I love them, and am extremely jealous. We have different styles, but I still love to check out your blog and get inspiration from you. There’s so many fashion blogs nowadays, its nice to see someone who does something different and doesn’t go for the same look as everyone else. That’s something I aspire to with my own style. Anyway, I’m blabbing now. One more thing… you have the face of an angel!
