An open letter to all shoe addicts:
We are Judy and Jane Aldridge, mother-daughter shoe whores looking for an outlet to explore every avenue of our obsession. Mom (or Judy) is 44 and a former fashion insider, now staying at home taking care of her two daughters and working on and up and coming independent project. Jane, age 15, is a student and fashion obsessor living in suburban utopia and sea of soccer moms and Hollister hoochies, IE: living hell.
In our blog we plan to include anything and everything to do with shoes, meaning present trends, future trends, ideas on how to wear them, critiques, designers we love-and some we don’t. We recognize that you cannot neglect the other important aspects of the fashion world, and plan to share our ideas about jeans, accessories, bags, and anything else that pops in our minds. In the process we hope to meet other fashion devotees.
I must admit I too live in a living hell and am a total shoe whore.
I just happen to not have enough money to buy the works of art you and your mother put on your feet. I’ll try and live my dreams through this blog… haha.
Wonderful blog, by the way!

I’ve read all your blog, it was a real pleasure!
I’m found of fashion too, but I have less crazy clothes than you ’cause the life in paris is very expensive, so I don’t have a lot of money to do shopping. I’m 18, I’m student in gaphic design and I’m creating clothes next to my work and I’d love to create a real collection one day.
have you ever been in paris??
nice to have met you! :)
you havn’t style, you’re the style.
Your blog is amazing, I’ve never seen a girl wearing clothes like yours. I’m addict of you blog.

I have just literally read you blog from start to finish after stumbling up on it…purely by accident! I couldn’t pull away, I was completely and utterly mesmerised!
I cannot believe your level of fashion maturity…amazing!
I wish you all the best in life and career x
I’m obsessed with your blog.
You and you mom are amazing.
I wish I could buy the clothes you wear!
nicely said–especially the living hell part.
Since when does being privileged = living hell?
THANKYOU!! finally someone else who hates hollister…
It´s very nice to read this brief introdution in the beginning of everything. Now this project grows and you are a sucess! Congratulations!

Because of my inability to afford Prada, Chanel, Gucci, Miu Miu, etc. I am forced to be a “Hollister hoochie.” I’m afraid without American Eagle, Hollister, and Abercrombie in my wardrobe I would be forced into the corner of fashion rejection in my school. No one knows who Valentino, Hermes, or *gasp* Marc Jacobs are. Their fashion vocabulary goes as far as Chanel, and that’s pushing it for some. I envy you.
@ “bell pimentel” just because u cant afford all the high end brands that she can doesnt mean ur FORCED to wear hollister! i live in the worst place fashion wise, u cant even wear a pair of heels without getting looks like “where is SHE going?”.but i do it anyways because u should never care what others think about ur own personal style! u can dress chic without being rich!
sorry, i meant @maggie :)
@dizzy I’m also 13, and my dad couldn’t care LESS about fashion, so if he saw me in high heels he would freak out. We also have virtually NO good stores around here. None. The only one is Saks and we have a few crappy vintage stores and consignment stores and that’s it. I’m also 85 pounds, so shopping online is hard. I’m planning on moving to NYC as soon as I get out of this Hell hole for some real fashion.
Found this site, LOVE this site! I wish I could afford your shoe collection!! I’m going to have to live vicariously!
You’re clearly extremely rich to be able to afford all those high-end brands, so if your town is hell why don’t you just move someplace else?
