You come up with some random outfits when you are moving. Case in point, at this point in our unpacking process I basically had only unpacked workout clothes, a lot of shoes, and this massive Junya Watanabe tutu skirt. I think I’m okay with it though. You can get away with a lot when you wear all black. This cozy cardigan by Augden has been my uniform for days now. I really loved this past Junya collection, this skirt is so special to me.

Flipping through Elle’s November 2014 issue, I fell in love with the styling in their denim-centric editorial with Stella Maxwell. It occured to me that I could do a pretty good copycat version of the look with what I had in my closet! I rummaged through my jeans, pulled out a fantastic old 70s calfhair trench, and put on a cute spotted Clare Vivier crossbody bag. I love being inspired to give my old clothes new life.
Fun fact: In Texas, they call denim-on-denim a “Canadian tuxedo” but in Canada they call denim-on-denim a “Texas tuxedo”? Thank you Instagram followers for cluing me in on this. The more you know!

Happy humpday! We’ve been so busy moving into our new house this week. It is coming along nicely! I’d wanted to do this post sooner but I’m sure you know how a big move kind of puts you in a state of constant crisis management. Thanksgiving seems so long ago! We’re getting settled into our place now, I can’t wait to show you guys soon!
Our Thanksgiving was pretty perfect. Holidays can be so chaotic but everything came together so easily this time. It was too pretty not to take pictures of! My mom has been playing around with her decor and I wanted to show you guys. I am always so inspired by her home and I know a few Atlantis Home readers have been wanting to see it!
Look at Mr. Townsend, he is such an old man now! I can’t believe he is fifteen. He loves having company over, Thanksgiving was a huge deal for him.
We cooked up a seriously good feast this Thanksgiving. Wow, I am so lucky to have a mom, sister, and boyfriend who are all such incredible cooks!

Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving! I put together a few bare essentials looks for your Black Friday shopping.
