Another outfit with vintage Levi’s?? I’m so boring! But I know I could never give them up. For me they’re the glue that holds my wardrobe together. This bag has gone everywhere with me ever since I got it, it was handmade for me by Strathberry in Scotland. I’ve dreamt of this bag forever!

Wearing vintage Levi’s (try here for similar) with a boatneck top, aviator glasses, Miu Miu heels, and Strathberry red tote.

My Guest Edit at Scout Design Studio

My Guest Edit at Scout Design Studio

One of my all time favorite places to visit for vintage home decor here in Dallas is Scout Design Studio. I’m there at least once a week to check their new stock! I was hugely honored when Scout asked me to guest-edit a room in their space using their incredible inventory. I’ve been so excited to show you guys!

Meg

I had so much fun turning this into the fantasy studio apartment of my dreams. My mom and my sister provided their expert help and styling advice, we had way too much fun. I also should thank Megan (my mom’s latest rescue chihuahua pictured above), who never missed a day of work for the duration of this project. Now that it’s finished I wish I could move in! I love how the green walls turned out. I want to paint my living room the same color now. I love the black and white sofa against it! Thank you so much to Scout, Flann, and Miguel for this opportunity, it was a dream come true.

The space will be up for a month, to shop my edit go visit Scout Design Studios! (155 Howell Street, Dallas, TX)

A special thank you to Biscuit Home for the beautiful mint green ikat bedding they provided for this project!! It totally made the room.

While we were in San Miguel, they had two back to back rallies for the town’s next mayor. There were huge parades that wound through the whole city, with seemingly thousands of participants. There were tons of mariachi bands, tons of decorations, and oddly enough a lot of people dressed up in witch costumes for the parade.

While we were waiting for the parade to finish so we could cross the street, we tried out some test shots for lighting. Some young men participating in the parade saw this as an opportune moment for a photobomb! Hahaha! I love this shot. Such a great capture.

Adolfo guccibalenciaga  IMG_4846 IMG_4890 IMG_4807

This coat is everything to me. Collecting vintage Adolfo is a lifelong obsession of mine and this piece is my favorite of any of the Adolfo I’ve managed to get my hands on. It comes from Shrimpton Couture, Cherie always has the most amazing pieces. We shot this in San Miguel, against the hazy blues and reds of the cobblestone streets one early morning.

The Fringe Skirt

The Fringe Skirt

I got this 70s fringe suede skirt in January of last year, I can’t believe I haven’t posted it yet. At least I’m pretty sure I haven’t. I paid next to nothing for it, it was the find of a lifetime! I wore it one chilly morning in San Miguel, bundled up in a cable-knit sweater and belted with a concha belt. I absolutely love the drama of the swinging fringe!

SHU UEMURA x YAZ BUKEY

SHU UEMURA x YAZ BUKEY

Shu

I love makeup and I love Yaz Bukey’s fantastic Plexiglas accessories, so I’ve been really excited for the shu uemura and Yaz Bukey summer artist collaboration that just came out! The adorable packaging and pop-art color palette of the collection are a makeup addict’s dream come true. shu uemura and Yaz Bukey were kind enough to send me the “Sexy Yaz” products, along with Yaz’s amazing signature red lip earrings and necklace. Most of the time my beauty style is pretty natural and laid back, but I love the artistry behind makeup. Sexy Yaz is part of the #AlterShuGo personas. I decided on a daring red lip (rouge unlimited lipstick in sexy yaz), big bouffant, and 60s sequin top to channel my inner Sex Yaz.

I will be the first to admit that pink eyeshadow was never part of my beauty repertoire…until now. I really love these colors! They are much more wearable than I would have imagined. It’s amazing how makeup can inspire you to take on a new persona outside of yourself.

Day through Night: Jeans + Tee to LBD

Day through Night: Jeans + Tee to LBD

A go-to outfit for busy weekdays: a slouchy muscle tank by Red23, my favorite skinny jeans, and leopard pumps.

LBD LBD

Later than night I donned the perfect LBD from Red23 with Aquazzura mesh mules and a leopard Meredith Wendell handbag. This was perfect for an early dinner, we wanted to get out and enjoy the spring weather on a patio. I put on a matte red lip too just to up the ante!
