I was very lucky to be able to style some of my dream pieces from Luisaviaroma’s new fall arrivals. I mean, how insane is that Valentino skirt? It had my name written all over it. The designs on the skirt remind me of western details on cowboy boots. I kept it Texas with a western bag by Chloe and a denim Dsquared2 snap button shirt. The belt is a vintage treasure and the shoes are Isabel Marant from a few years ago!
I’m still obsessing over these shoes! They’re so cute I can barely stand to take them off. This was the first outfit I wore with them, just with jeans and a tee to run some errands!

This morning is a favorite memory from our recent trip to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. The early hours there are my favorite, when nobody else is awake and the town is completely quiet. The empty cobblestone streets in the morning remind me of a movie set. We spent the morning exploring Parque Juarez and later stopped for croissants and cafe con leche at my favorite cafe. It was a cool 60 in the mornings there, and now that I am back in scorching hot Texas I am missing San Miguel’s weather terribly!
I collaborated with Tory Burch to style the new fall Gigi pumps for this shoot. It’s such a chic reincarnation of her iconic flats. I love a low-heel style like this, especially for a weekend get-away. These shoes were just the thing for hours of wandering the city, and so perfect for dinner with a dramatic printed skirt. This50’s skirt is a special vintage piece I picked up recently, I love the sequin embellishment at the hem. I have the Gigi’s in both teal and maroon…I’ve been wearing them with cuffed up 501’s and vintage peasant blouses the last few weeks. They’ve totally freshened up my usual uniform.

My mom and I have been texting each other about these Marni boots since we saw them online. We planned dream outfits to wear them with before we even got these shoes (cropped flares and vintage quilted vests!). Finally, my mom was the first to cave and order them once they went on sale. I thought my resolve was stronger, but after I tried her Marni boots on I couldn’t stop thinking about them. There was a zebra and gold version in a size 9 taunting me on Farfetch. I could no longer resist. They’re mine now, they actually just got here in the mail today and I’m wearing them as I type. A shoe like this doesn’t come around too often….I’d be lying if I didn’t admit they make me incredibly happy! A shoe like this is so unique it will always stand the test of time.
There is a version in of this Marni boot in all white that is also incredibly cute, if you love them as much as I do!
This quilted 70s patchwork jacket is such a work of art! I can’t get over the three dimensional stuffed butterfly detail on the shoulder. This definitely has to go down as one of my most prized vintage finds. Very Native Funk and Flash. I wore this to go see the amazing Pokemon mural at Lewellyn’s Print Shop. The incredibly cool terry cloth hashtag clutch I’m wearing comes from Nunes White!

I have a funny story about this look. One morning I was searching eBay and came across this printed brushed denim skirt by one of my favorite designers. I wanted it so badly! I held off because it cost a little bit more than I wanted to spend. I went vintage shopping at Dolly Python with my mom that same afternoon and we found this printed shirt jacket. The mate to the skirt I had found that morning online! After buying the top I caved in and bought the skirt. I am obsessing over this ensemble, I want to wear it all the time. I love that such unusual pieces found their way back to each other after decades apart. They’re so great with a concho belt.

A few Monday picks to stock your wardrobe going into fall! I am kicking myself for not getting these Ferragamo shoes when they were available in my size. Argh! I need to be watching the shoe sales more carefully.
I found this 70s velvet vest and the velvet striped blazer when I was vintage shopping at Dolly Python last week. They are both very Marc Bolan pieces, I loved them layered together. I’ll probably wear them with high waisted flares this fall, but for summer they are really fun with cut-off shorts!
