When Barneys New York asked me to choose my three must-have shoes of the season, I couldn’t help but wonder if they have a tracking device that shows the number of times I hit ‘refresh’ daily on their new arrivals page. For the first series of our Lucchese story, we were proud to show off some of the classic Western boot styles that Lucchese is known for. Today I’m showing a few of the more laid back, elegant styles they have done for summer! The tall alligator boots I’m wearing above were the most beautiful things I’ve ever put on my feet!
I’d been contemplating the gorgeousness of these leopard print Miu Miu mules for a little while. Seeing the adorable Miranda Kerr in them is making them awfully hard to resist! I am so glad there are so many mules this season. Miu Miu is the best!
Last week I spent three amazing days in a tropical paradise. Tulum has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The water was unbelievably turquoise blue and the sands were bright white. I loved the laid back hippy feel of the beach town and seeing all of the yoga loving beach goers. We were there shooting some stunning gold pieces provided by LoveGold. I fell in love with the stunning dainty gold jewelry from Mizuki. It was the perfect way to accessorize a black bikini!
I have been a long time fan of Peter Pilotto’s beautiful digital prints and sculptural clothing and have always dreamt of having a piece of my own. I fell in love with this skirt from the Corner.com. It makes for a perfect print party with this Dolce and Gabanna bag! Happy Wednesday! I’m here in Tulum, Mexico for a few days shooting a fun project. It is paradise here! This morning we took a walk on the beach and couldn’t resist an early morning swim.
I’m pretty excited about this bikini. I swear to you, I searched for days looking for a basic black bikini! It was unbelievably hard to find one without cheesy plastic hardware, overly padded bras, or tons of frilly ruffles. I finally found the perfect black bikini by Issa De’ Mar and I love it!

I went on a little adventure to the Fort Worth Stock Yards with some of the latest pieces from the Lucchese collection. I was born and raised in Texas, and I love everything about Texas, but it’s not often that I get to work with Texas based companies on Sea of Shoes–so when a company as hallowed as Lucchese approached me about working together, I was truly walking on air!
I picked several of my favorite current styles from Lucchese, and raided my mom and grandmother’s treasure trove of vintage western jewelry and belts. This all fit perfectly with recently scoured 50’s petticoats, modern strapless dresses, and even my favorite low slung leather skinnies.
We chose to shoot in Fort Worth in the historic Stock Yards. A must see if you plan to visit Fort Worth anytime soon!!
