Dress is a no-name label bought on eBay a year or two ago..worn with vintage belt, a stack of my favorite bangles and Givenchy basket-weave wedges.
This dress is the best, a polyester wonder. I bet the girl who originally owned it wore it to Studio 54..wore it to Studio 54 all the time! I tell myself these things because I want to believe them…
THAT IS SO AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!
love it
I think that same thing about this amazing green silk Pauline Trigère I couldn’t resist buying even though the crazy bitch who owned it first positively COVERED it in cig burns!
that is definitely a great dress you’ve got from ebay, how come do i not always score beautiful things from ebay?? the colour of the dress is so vibrant and totally match your porcelain skin.

I understand why that’s your favourite dress. It’s stunning!
Wow, I really like the dress. I’m thinking maybe I could experiment with draping fabric remnants over a contrasting dress for a similar effect. Could do any combo really. And your hair looks lovely like this, too, by the way.
I love this pictures.
Oh, I totally believe that. She was a swinging, partying socialite diva who sashayed and parlayed with the best of them…you know, Mic Jagger, Andy Warhol, Debbie Harry….those kinda people.

Lovely dress! I love your hair too!
That dress and belt go perfectly together. I love that you wear clothes (and accessories, and shoes!) with character. And while most of the girls our age are living in “Uggs” and “Pink sweatpants”, you’re not afraid to wear what you really like :).
when i look at your blog its usually to see things that are interesting and inspiring but way out of my comfort zone. this dress is just the right amount of interesting while still being very wearable. its lovely
The contrast between the pattern and the solid color is really amusing. Both the color combination and the geometric pattern remind me of a giraffe!!! which also happens to be one of my fav animals. This is a really refreshing break from the current animal print craze. It’s not too in your face like a leopard print but still bold and fresh. Interesting!
I also came across another picture of an animal-print-but-not-really boots. you might find it interesting! http://projectsuecho.wordpress.com/2009/11/10/gazelle/
Vintage on ebay is great, and (often) really cheap!

I know you’ve posted before about how to ebay-shop for designer vintage… it would be awesome if you could do a little brush up lesson on your ebay-ing habits in general sometime. I’m just sitting here thinking…what did she search for to get that dress… looks amazing – and so does your hair!!
Gorgeous dress! I love the contrast of the heavy black shoes against the flowy yellow dress. It’s beautiful.

What a fabulous outfit. Season appropriate also! If you found the perfect jacket it miiight be too good to be true.
i really like the print on the left of the dress and it goes so well on your frame with that belt.
grrrrrreat!
But maybe it’s true… who knows! Anyway, the dress is wonderful!
I don’t know how you do it. Well, I do know how I just don’t think I could. If I spent as much time as you do in my house, taking pictures of what I would wear had I gone somewhere, I’d probably pull a Plath! Seriously.
Also, why do you alter your proportions in your pictures? I was just watching last week’s episode of The City and you looked drastically differently, especially in the face. I thought that was odd.
