wearing vintage bone choker with Zara sweater, Jil Sander skirt (similar here), and my holy grail precious Junya Watanabe brogues. This is has been my repeat outfit lately!
PRINCESS SHOES
I love these shoes so, so much! They are by Rene Caovilla and they remind me of sugar plum fairies and ballerinas. These are not my shoes, they belong to my mom, who found them at a Neiman Marcus outlet seven years ago. I asked her if I could borrow them to show you guys because they are too dreamy not to share! I always keep my eyes peeled for Rene Caovilla shoes come sale season, in case I ever find a pair like these.
Worn with vintage Levi’s and Zara blouse.

RAINY MORNING TRENCH
When in London, pack a chic trench. It’s a good thing I did! Here are some photos from a drizzly early morning stroll, wearing my Kensington Road “Victoria” sunglasses from Glasses.com with a Zara blouse, jeans, vintage Chanel bag, and my current favorite Sergio Rossi pumps!
STOPPING IN KENSINGTON
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I was in London last week! My boyfriend and I went to explore the area of Kensington, and had a movie-like experience strolling down the manicured streets lined with regal white buildings. We stopped in quaint cafes, tried black pudding, and spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the big yellow “H” signs plastered to every building were (turns out they indicate the location of the nearest fire hydrant). We got caught in an idyllic afternoon shower, which then escalated into a slightly less idyllic hailstorm. In moments like those you have to laugh.
I packed a schoolgirlish navy shift I picked up in Seoul, worn here with nerdy chic opticals from the Glasses.com Kensington Road collection we were documenting. I love these frames!
While caught in the aforementioned hailstorm, we found shelter in a very cool new restaurant called Lyle’s. Jeff and I are very food-obsessed. (We have actually been cooking our tails off to launch a food blog next week!!) We seriously feel like fate brought us to Lyle’s that night. This chanterelle, onion, & egg soup was one of the top five things we have ever eaten, period.
My new favorite summer drink: Campari & white wine. Not a white wine person, but this may convert me.
Wearing the Glasses.com “Chadwick” frames with a Zara sweater, Barneys NY scarf, Loeffler Randall bag, Zara jeans, and Miu Miu leopard heels. Also shown, Glasses.com Kensington Road “Wellington” Frames.
Stopped for a Pimms Cup while we waited out the storm…these are the adorable “Wellington” frames from the Kensington collection! I miss rainy London. I’ll be sharing more from the trip soon!
ROSE & BLACK
Silk mauve dress by Mes Demoiselles , with Lucchese wrap leather mid-calf boots
Black silk shawl from Coqui Coqui with Jil Sander asymmetric black skirt, vintage silver cross belt, ASOS camisole, and Lucchese sandals.
I had so much fun styling these Lucchese shoes! I’d been dying to wear this silk shawl I picked up from Coqui Coqui when I was walking down the beach in Tulum. Coqui Coqui is a beachfront hotel with a chic perfumerie/boutique attached to it. I was so glad to pick up such a timeless souvenir from our trip, I feel like I’m back at the beach swarthed in my shawl and walking around in Lucchese’s black wrap sandals.
I’m still reminiscing about our trip to cowtown…I had so much fun staying in the Fort Worth Stockyards Hotel. One of our favorite shots below, pulling on a pair of Lucchese cowboy boots , with leopard shorts and a cowboy hat. Naturally!
STAYCATION
Wearing Three Dots ‘Grae’ tee with gold Hoorsenbuhs necklace, vintage cut-offs and Miu Miu leopard heels.
Wearing gold ring by Hoorsenbuhs, gold link bracelets by Janis Savitt, and gold cuff bangle by Elena Votsi.
Wearing gold Elena Votsi bangle and gold Hoorsenbuhs ring and chain necklace with an H&M cropped blouse, vintage skirt, and Sergio Rossi heels.
I love a good staycation, and I’ve been fascinated by the super retro Belmont Hotel here in Oak Cliff since it reopened. It was a motor court hotel built in 1946 by Charles Dilbeck. I love the sprawling Spanish style buildings and southwestern interiors, it definitely feels like an old movie set! The ambiance inspired me to pack tons of vintage, including my 50s silk slips, full skirts and petticoats, and dramatic 40s inspired nippy flared jackets. The Victor Costa jacket I am wearing above is an “80s does 40s” piece that I am crazy about! We shot these pieces with an array of delicate gold from LoveGold, who always seem to uncover the best of new jewelry talent. My favorite staycation activity is enjoying wine in bed with a good movie. I chose Leave Her to Heaven (1945, with beautiful Gene Tierney). One of my all time favorites, I highly recommend it for your next old movie night!
THE NAVY MIDI SKIRT
Today wearing my favorite sandals by Katharine Page with a navy pinstripe skirt, a Zara blouse, a vintage bone choker, and the amazing Lotuff tote that you are probably a little sick of seeing me post on this blog by now! Oh, and my favorite lace slingshot bra in the world. Just a tip-off for all the flat-chested girls out there.
