My two inspiration boards are a little bipolar…hmm. Sorry if my posts have slowed down a little lately, still getting over pneumonia. In the meantime I'm on Tumblr again. Follow me, I'm mountquits.tumblr.com!

I got this glitzy 80's bolero at a consignment store in Palm Beach when I went last month. It's pretty cheesy in terms of its construction (why a zipper closure??) but there is nothing wrong with a novelty piece or two in your closet…I had to have it! Worn with Current Elliot grey jeans, a Free People tanktop I borrowed from my sister, all vintage jewelry, and Giuseppe Zanotti buckle heels.
This incredible ankh necklace is a gift from Nathalie and Fernand of Hanna Bernhard. Natalie and Fernand and their son visited Texas this past week. We met up for dinner and was very suprised and honored to be gifted this beautiful ankh Natjalie and Fernand had designed for me. I can't get over the intricacy of it. Thank you so much Nathalie and Fernand!
I've come down with a cold after my week of travelling…the recovery period has given me copious amounts of time to try on clothes, take photos around the house with my mom, artfully arrange family photos, and try new hairstyles I learned on Youtube.
Wearing a Junya Watanabe fall 2007 flight coat, two Free People lace skirts, leather beads by the Woods, claw necklace by Pamela love, vintage amber stone necklace and Tortellani cross necklace.
Glad I got to wear this 60's Bonnie Cashin jacket before it hit the 70's here in Dallas–these pictures are from an antiquing trip in Dallas last week. My mom and my aunt and I went to White Elephant and Lula B's antique malls. Wearing Prada platforms and Current Elliot jeans with a red sweater I got at Lula B's.
In front of the five eerie men in White Elephant..
Here are some pictures we snapped during our time in Vegas. Kim loved soaking up the sun by the pool.
View from the Cosmopolitan's poolside lounge.
Wearing an amazing 80's dress I found at Lula B's antique mall in Dallas last week. Worn with Jean Paul Gaultier for Target jacket, Hue tights, and Alaia leopard hiking boots.
Brought some tasty burger bites and steakfries from Holsteins and Shakes to eat outside. Mmm.
Kim has been the best dog ever on this trip–she did photoshoots and live interviews and panel speaking and didn't bat an eye…she is the most laidback dog. I'm in New York for the second Bar III launch party with Macy's (co-hosting with my friends Elizabeth from White Lightning and Rumi from Fashion Toast and Travis and Josh from Street Etiquette) and some meetings. After that its home to Texas :)
Hi from Vegas–I'm here for the WWDMagic fashion tradeshow and Teen Vogue's fashion blogging discussions. I was just in Vegas last month and here I am again! My mom is with me, and we brought our dog Kim. She has been a great traveller. We're at the Cosmopolitan and the room is amazing! Last night we watched the Grammys with Kim. Since I don't have TV at home, I love watching TV when I travel. Sadly this hotel does not have the Boomerang channel–I love cartoons, espciallu 70's and 80's cartoons. Thundarr the Barbarian is my favorite. I made a gif of me living in my own cartoon…
The Michael Jackson-ish jacket I'm wearing is a find from Palm Beach–I'm in love with it. The fur and leather coat is 60's Bonnie Cashin. The red striped sweater is 80's Balmain (mom found it at the thrift store for 25 dollars) and the skirt it Ivan Grundahl. The dress with the long yellow sleeves is my 70's 'folkloric' dresss, and the crazy space dress is somehting I found at Lula B's this week in Dallas and I think I'm going to wear it today.
Off to the Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge…have to prepare for a little public speaking. Always nerve wracking. It was so much fun seeing Jane Keltner de Valle and Andrew Bevan from Teen Vogue at the Bar III party last week. Thank you Teen Vogue for having me out!
Can't wait to share some pictures of Vegas–until then!
These are some leftovers from our snow storm–it was a perfect oppurtunity to wear this 70's Bill Blass coat. Worn with Rugby by Ralph Lauren carpenter pants and pleated chambray shirt, and my trusty Ann Demeulemeester triple lace boots.
My mom found this 70's Edouard Rambaud choker and it's my new favorite piece of jewelry ever–not an understatement.
