I've been really into deconstructed and creatively accessorized hairstyles lately–so perfect and modern for a holiday party. Here are some looks I'm hoping to recreate in the future!
A fairy tiara and a princess bun at Chanel.
Does anyone know what show this is from? I saved it a while ago and can't remember–coolest hair ever!
Gems hidden in a pretty bird's nest.
Beautiful natural waves and color–Natalia Vodianova photographed by Bruce Weber for the Pirelli calendar.
Glorious weaves.
Roughed-up victory rolls.
Old world curls.
Amazing braided bun at Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2011
The gorgeous braids at Valentino's spring show–still my dream hairstyle!
Thank you to all of the sweet people who wished me happy birthday! Hope you all are enjoying your holiday.
When I left the house in this outfit, I didn't have the turtleneck or red gloves on…I picked those up at J. Crew and have found them surprisingly useful for layering up during our schizophrenic Texas winter. The butterscotch kilt I'm wearing is from Vintage Martini and absolutely one of my favorite things in my closet. Worn with Hue tights, Proenza Schouler boots, Stylenanda sweatshirt, and a Rugby scarf.
My early birthday present got here–they were heaven-sent from the shoe god that is Giuseppe Zanotti. I think they're five to eight years old. My mom found them on eBay and knew I would love them–she is the best in the whole world and knows me too well. These are the holy grail of crazy boots for me.
Giuseppe, please keep doing spat boots forever!! The black wrap-around cap toe on them is so cool.
I was trying them on with wigs and swimsuits and feather shrugs last night. I think my pink hair scared my best friend.
These spat ankle boots had been haunting my dreams ever since I first saw them. Now that they are here I am so glad that I got them because I could wear them every single day of my life. I love the button detail on the sides and the pretty almond shaped toe! Giuseppe Zanotti gets it right every time.
Wearing the Giuseppe Zanotti ankle boots with a vest a friend gave me, my favorite Legacy jeans, and a Stylenanda shirt.
Just when I was about to say winter is getting to me, the sun came out and the clouds went away. Yay! It had been raining like crazy this week. I had tried to use fresh flowers to remedy the wintery bleakness.
Wearing a Dries Van Noten floral dress and a vintage bone & leather choker. Flowers from Dr. Delphinium in Dallas.
