LOTS OF LEATHER

Outfits
Apr 3, 2012

This leather vest I'm wearing is one of my favorite things in the world. It's previous owner obviously loved it very much, it is extremely well-worn. The label on it says 'Dark Horse' which always kind of cracks me up.

Worn with crackle-leather pants by Notify, a Rugby striped blouse, an old Dolce & Gabanna purse from my sister, and Givenchy lace-up patent booties from fall 2007.

LE SMOKING

I love Prada for doing this smoking lips shoe. It's for girls who just don't care anymore…haha! Very disco. There is a black version available at Nordstrom and Saks that is amazing too!

THE BRASS ANIMAL ROAD TRIP

FashionInteriorsTravel
Mar 31, 2012

My mom and I had a bit of an unusual road trip on Thursday. The night before she had found a Craiglist listing for a huge 70's four foot brass deer out in East Texas–the seller said they had more brass animals and was looking to clear them out. Obviously, this was not something we were going to miss! We drove into Grand Saline and went down winding country roads forever and ever until we got to their house….they were not kidding about the size of their collection.

The moment I set eyes on these lions, I knew they had to come home with me! I have been looking for the perfect lions for my new place since I moved in.

The giraffes are proudly wearing my mom's jewelry in her place.

Mr. Seal went to live with mom too.

Our backseat looked ridiculous on our way back.

This was on the seller's property–lush!

All of these guys needed a LOT of polishing. I'm still working on my lions.

Looking better though, right?? What a fun day trip that was!

I LOVE YOU, OSCAR!

I LOVE YOU, OSCAR!

This adorable Oscar de la Renta was hands-down my favorite shoe of the spring season. When it popped up on Net-a-Porter, I could not say no. I am anxiously awaiting their arrival. The PVC makes it so cute for showing off socks! Look at how cute the other colors are on the runway….

The black version is available on Net-a-Porter, and the brown version is available on Bergdorf Goodman. The cute little buckle shoe is out in nude, too! Love the direction that Oscar's shoe game has taken!

SIMPLE STRIPES

Outfits
Mar 28, 2012

This is what I came up with when I had about two minutes to put clothes on. All from Rugby–haha! Straight from my suitcase.

Life has been so chaotic lately, I am hoping that things wind down and I can get back to my routine this week. Unfortunately I seem to have picked up some nasty bug in the past 24 hours. I am delirious and dehyrdated, please forgive me if this post doesn't make any sense. When I woke up this morning, I noticed my bed was FULL of hair clips. I guess I had dragged them in bed with me in a feverish haze. I also had some amazing dreams about Giuseppe Zanotti glitter boots.

Wearing a pointelle skirt, striped tee and beret from Rugby, with my beloved Miu Miu art deco heels.

LIFE IN WEBCAM

Some snaps from the last few months–ahh, it is scary how time flies!! The above is from this week in Buenos Aires, right before I went out to explore the city with Aimee ;)

I see the cute doggy dresses at Target and I just can't help myself….Kim looks so great in them. This is before I moved obviously, because I'm in my old office!

Kim's maximum walking distance is about two blocks. She gets winded and needs her beauty rest.

Maribou shrug and a sweater skirt!

My favorite 70's sweater set. Groovy.

My tiger swimsuit from Black Milk!

This fifties floral dress is one of my favorites. Very Barbie.

Trying a Rosie the Riveter look!

Leather wings!

A webcam snap from my new closet…haha!

Sequin pailette top and a military jacket from Rugby!

Vintage plaid skirt and thrifted Ungaro blouse

Cuddling up to stinky Staci.

A 40's child's sweater and an 80's Mugler pencil skirt to go to the opera

OLD SHOES, NEW SHOES

I am so enamoured with these mesh flats sent to me by Cheap Monday!! They are very futuristic–more like a shell than a shoe. I particularly like the lime green. I call them the Zorak shoes.

The blue is great too! If you are thinking about getting a pair, I would suggst going down a size and a half.

These 70's metallic brogues came from Lula B's…I saw them and fell in love. Very Ralph Lauren meets disco. I wish they were my size! I still had to take them home. Maybe one of my size 7 1/2 girlfriends will take them.

CRICKET SWEATER

Outfits
Mar 20, 2012

I did a little shopping at Rugby last week and came away with a lot of pieces that I am obsessed with now. Actually, when we shot these photos I was picking up a few things I left behind last time! This cricket sweater is one of them. Worn with a Magda Berliner antique lace skirt, a Rugby knit hat, and my Chloe harness boots. These poor boots–I've had them since I was fifteen and wear them practically every other day. I think I need to take them into the shoe doctor for a little TLC.

The cookies at the end are from Celebrity bakery–how cute are they! Can't believe Easter is around the corner.

I'm flying to Argentina today for an exciting project–can't wait to share! Now I have to get packing.
