This is a look I put together with some recent vintage favorites. The skirt is 70s Celine and the top is vintage Sonia Rykiel. I’m a huge Sonia Rykiel fan and this outfit is definitely inspired by some of her signature looks. I love how she played with French classics in such a tongue-in-cheek way, and her use of disco-light shades of super saturated color. I added a beret and a tassel earrings just for fun with this. I’m not normally a fan of knife pleats but in the context of this skirt I love them, the shiny fabric makes the skirt play with the light in such a great way! Maybe I’ll have to change my mind about knife pleats now.

I love this look! Also I never truly understood the fuss over designer clothing until coming across this site! A 70’s Celine skirt that still looks amazing nearly four decades later? Wow.

I love this so, so much. It doesn’t seem to have a specific time period it’s attached too, or a certain age. Yes, timeless and ageless.

My dear the great talent of Sonia Rykiel does not get as much respect as she deserves . Sonia was revolutionary in her innovative use of knits and color . As a fashion historian I have a great post on Rykiel on my blog . Thanks
