SPOOKY FEET

SPOOKY FEET

HouseofHarlowe

These House of Harlowe 1960 beaded skull loafers are the stuff dreams are made of! I am dying for them, and they remind me so much of my sister, so I hope she sees this!

CUT-OFFS & TIGHTS

CUT-OFFS & TIGHTS

Cut-off shorts and black tights are one of my favorite outfit recipes. It's an instant good look!! I've been anxiously waiting for the proper weather to wear them..no one wants to be the girl in opaque tights on a balmy day. I love Alexa Chung's tights + shorts look above. Such an easy and cute outfit.

All The Pretty Birds, Mr. Newton, and the Sartorialist!

Evidence of my shorts + tights love. I go for peekaboo pockets!! Double cute. Worn here with a nude v-neck cashmere sweater c/o of Equipment, a scarf c/o of Chan Luu, a Denim & Supply by Ralph Lauren belt,  Yves Saint Laurent sunglasses, and Anine Bing boots.

My friend and I were talking about how hard it is to find tights that dont have some weird support hose thing going on. Sometimes I don't mind that look, but if you do, try Hue tights! I think American Apparel tights are good too.

Happpy election day! I am getting ready to DJ an election party tonight, woohoo!

DO THE SPLITS

DO THE SPLITS

I'm not doing the splits in this post. Truth be told I'd probably end up in the E.R. if I even attempted that. I'm referring to the J Brand jeans I'm wearing. They were very kind to offer to send me these–thank you so much J Brand! I love how they are perfect for showing off shoes.
Wearing the J Brand Vera jeans with a Style Nanda sweater from last year (similar below), a J. Crew mens button down and Prada pumps from fall 2010.

LEATHER SUSPENDERS

LEATHER SUSPENDERS

I got these leather suspenders by the Dress & Co in Japan a few years ago and definitely do not wear them enough. I feel like they were kind of made for these RRL sailor pants I bought in New York last week! Worn with a J. Crew cropped sleeve sweater, a thrifted tweed jacket, a Rugby Ralph Lauren bandana, and Madewell flat ankle boots.

AMELIA

AMELIA

Happy Halloween! I've been so excited to get in costume. I'm Amelia Earhart this year!

I have to thank the Frontiers of Flight museum here in Dallas for allowing us to shoot in their Golden Era exhibit. The day this was shot happened to be the day their regular Amelia Earhart impersonator was working, and she was kind enough to lend me the goggles and hat for the shoot. My lucky day!!

I am wearing RRL jodphurs, RRL belt, unknown patent and leather lace-up boots, washed silk blouse, and a children's flight jacket I got in Austin. (I'm afraid the jacket gives away many chronological incongruities, but hey, it's only a costume, right?)

ROB PRUITT FOR JIMMY CHOO

ROB PRUITT FOR JIMMY CHOO

The Rob Pruitt x Jimmy Choo collaboration is one of the coolest things to ever happen, so I feel super lucky to have been there for the launch party at the Fletcher-Sinclair Mansion in NYC this past week. What a party! The whole place was decked out Rob Pruitt style, and it was quite a sight to behold. The shoes I'm wearing are my favorites from the collaboration. The lining of the shoes is printed with the Rob Pruitt panda–possibly the cutest feature of the shoe.

As much as I love the shoes, my favorite part of the collaboration has to be the Angel Panda/Devil Panda cartoon.

I'm wearing the zebra print sparkly sandals sent to me by Jimmy Choo, Isabel Marant lace up pants, a vintage blouse, a vintage peacoat, and Yves Saint Laurent sunnies.

Above are some of my pictures from the party! Me with my friend Rocky, Krysten Ritter (I love her), and me with Sandra and Simon of Jimmy Choo.
