Tibi + Me in Austin!

Tibi + Me in Austin!

About to kick off a three day trip to Austin, I can’t wait to get back to one of my favorite cities. I will be hosting an event at the fabulous By George boutique with Tibi designer Amy Smilovic. If you’re in Austin, please stop by, I am dying to share the new collection! As you can see from the above photos, the clothes are fantastic. We will be there all Thursday and Friday. RSVP by emailing rsvp@tibi.com. I hope you can come hang out!
You can get the gorgeous skirt and heels at Tibi.com!

KIMONOS AND CLOGS

KIMONOS AND CLOGS

I have been so excited to get my hands on a pair of Swedish Hasbeens. They’re the perfect hippie throwback shoe. I’ve been wearing my Ballroom clogs by them every day! The kimono I’m wearing is a recent purchase. They’re made in California by this cool company called Kite and Butterfly. Worn with some Levi’s boyfriend jeans my sis found at Urban Outfitters.

PERFECT DAY

PERFECT DAY

Had to go for this cute ASOS skirt, always a sucker for a big swingy silhouette! It’s the most perfect weather right now. I finally mastered bike riding in skirts, in other news. A bit like riding side saddle. It’s very tempting to hop on my Bianchi and ride into town for a glass of wine on a sunny patio.  By the way, have you been to Eleanor’s? I found so many cute bike accessories there as well as the perfect grocery basket. Check it out, bike gang girls.

OVERSIZED TWEED

OVERSIZED TWEED

Vintage Bill Blass

Yes, I am totally copying the sweater and tweed coat look from my last post! For the first time here in Texas I actually needed a coat. Actually, the reason I look so miserable here is because I was getting pounded with ice cold drops of rain. I’ve been dying to wear this coat, it is vintage Bill Blass from his heyday. One of the great American designers! I will leave you with this hysterical ad for a Bill Blass perfume.

Vintage Bill Blass coat worn with Golden Goose jeans, a thrifted cashmere sweater and J. Crew linen shirt, Dries Van Noten pumps from 2008

MENSWEAR INSPIRED

MENSWEAR INSPIRED

Perfect time to pull out this old editorial for reference. Autumn makes me want to wear all of my heavy tweeds and knits.  This was shot by Simon Upton for Madison Australia in 2010. An oldie but a goodie!
