FRINGE
Wearing a Billy Ray Cyrus tee with one of my mom’s turquoise concha belts. The skirt is vintage Ralph Lauren, found at a consignment store. The mesh booties are my beloved Jerome C. Rosseau’s.
Sorry for the lack of updates, it was kind of a traumatic weekend. I won’t get too much into it, but as some of you who follow me on Twitter might have heard my dogs and I got hit by a car on Friday. We were thankfully unharmed but in the process my dog Melanie got away from me. We did not find her after an all-night nine person search party went looking for her. It was heart-wrenching. I got the phone call I had been praying for the next morning. Melanie was rescued by a true real life angel near the highway the following morning. Thankful does not begin to describe it. We are so grateful and touched by everyone who expressed concern and helped put out the alert for Melanie! Just wanted to say thank you and let you know about the positive outcome. Mel is so glad to be home.

MIRACLE HAIR TRANSFORMER
I risk sounding like a gimmicky infomercial but I’m not joking around. It has totally changed my hair. I tried Leonor Greyl’s Huile de Palme on a whim because I was intrigued by a “pre-shampoo treatment”. I just massage this oil into my hair the night before I wash it or for twenty minutes in the morning before I shower. I have very fine dry hair that tangles like a nest of snakes, and my hair hasn’t felt this supple or been this shiny in my life. It’s deeply moisturizing without weighing down your hair. Bonus, it smells amazing. I got some for my sis and my mom, I think they’ll love it!
You can order Huile de Palme from Nordstrom or Urban Outfitters.
In Teen Vogue for Valentine’s!
With Valentine’s day right around the corner, Teen Vogue asked me to share a few of my Valentine’s day traditions and other favorite things for their February Issue. I’m so honored and pleased to be able to share the feature with you. I hope you all have big plans to treat yourself to all of your favorite guilty pleasures this Valentine’s. Until then I will patiently await Bill Skarsgård’s call.
BIG CHAINS
Been wearing these boots daily since I got them. They make a wonderful jingly stomping sound, I like that in a boot.
Wearing denim shorts by One Teaspoon, chunky fisherman knit (similar here) and Giuseppe Zanotti chain motorcycle boots (more sizes here).
CHASTITY SHOES
You know those shoes you love so much, but you just don’t wear often because it takes two hours to put them on? And a crowbar to remove them? That’s the story with these amazing Rochas granny boots. I’ve been been wearing them for the past three days, and sleeping in them too. Okay, not exactly, but let me tell you after a few cocktails it doesn’t sound like a bad idea. It occurred to me that these are the footwear equivalent of chastity belts. Let’s call them chastity shoes.
I was inspired to get these Rochas boots out when I saw Emmanuel Alt wearing the new Saint Laurent granny boots. I gotta say, Emmanuel, those look great but I think Rochas got it right the first time! I’m going to keep wearing mine, because frankly what other choice do I have?
ANOTHER GOOD FRYE
I need another pair of ankle boots like I need a pet anaconda, but these Frye Chelsea boots have my heart fluttering. Frye has really been doing the best boots lately. A few days ago I posted the Frye lace-up work boots I’ve been wanting for months. Which I did end up getting by the way. They’re the best.
